Lakota Bible Translation Project

PO Box 3912, Rapid City, SD 57709

The Lakota Bible Translation Project, a project with over 30 years of work behind it, began with the help of SIL, along with Wycliffe Bible Translators, and the American Bible Society. Team members work out of their homes translating scripture, with the use of varying media, into the heart language of the Lakota people. The project exists to help bridge the gap between Christians and traditionalists through the revitalization of the Lakota language.
